               Tournament Rules
Play is conducted under the rules of the Official Babe Ruth Baseball Rule Book, 
and the following overlays & / or clarifications:
Games: - No new innings will start after 1 hour & 30 minutes in pool play and 1:45 minutes in elimination games
Runs per inning Rule: - All games will have a five (5) run per inning rule for innings one (1) through five (5).
Does not apply to the sixth inning.
Slaughter Rule - All games will have a ten (10) run rule. Games will end when the game becomes 
official and either team has a ten (10) run lead.
Playing Time: - Each team must bat the entire lineup.
- Each team will play 10 players defensively.  (Four (4) outfielders)
- Each player will play a minumum of three (3) consecutive outs.
- There is Free Substitution
- Each team must have eight (8) players to start an official game
- No player may be added to the roster after the first pitch of the third inning.
- Players arriving after the game has started must be added to the bottom of the batting
order.
- Should a player, for any reason other than injury, leave the game & no substitute is
available, that player must remain in the batting order & is recorded as an out each time
that at bat occurs.
Batting: - In innings one (1) through five (5), should the 5th run be recorded without the batter 
completing the at bat, that batter will be the lead off batter for that teams next at bat.
Pitching: - A pitcher may pitch a maximum of three (3) innings in a game.  
- Pitchers may only pitch three (3) innings and then must have three (3) innings off.
- A pitcher may pitch a maximum of six (6) innings per day.
- A pitcher removed from the mound on the first visit or between innings, may return to the 
mound as a pitcher in the same inning or subsequent innings as long as that player remains
in the game.
- A game in which an ineligible pitcher is used will be declared a forfeit immediately and
play is ended.
- Intentional walks are not permitted.
- Should a manager or coach direct a pitcher to intentionally walk a batter, they will be
removed from the game immediately.
- Should the same pitcher hit three (3) batters in an inning or five (5) in a game, that
pitcher will be removed from the mound for the remainder of that game.
Stealing Home: - Runners may 'ONLY' steal home on a pass ball, wild pitch or a wild throw from the catcher
back to the pitcher that the pitcher cannot catch.
- Applies ONLY to the runner on 3rd base.
- Should any defensive player make or attempt to make a play on this runner or any other
base runner's,  the ball is live and play is in.
Sliding: - No head first sliding will be allowed. Diving back to a base head first is permitted.
Throwing Equipment: - No throwing of equipment will be permitted either accidently or intentionally
- A player, manager or coach, once warned and repeats the act, will be removed from
 the game.
- A batter throwing the bat after hitting the ball, will be given a warning. Should that 
batter repeat the act, that batter will be called out.
Ejection from Game: - Any Manager, Coach or Player ejected from a game, must serve a one (1) game 
suspension, which would be the next scheduled game.
